I Think I would rather Eric not go. He will spend his time comparing things and complaining about how much things cost. Big shows are Really expensive to Insure and Put on (EDC, Coachella, WMC,) all of these big promoters learn and borrow from each other and senensation is one of the biggest parties in the world. and they are not Jumping on the USA money train (BTW it is MUCH cheaper and profitable to just stay in Europe). Russ is correct 100% it IS about the music and the sense of a Family of strangers all here to dance and celebrate being alive. Overly anything is not that good for anything. I love my country and AM a patriot but that does not mean America Has nothing to learn from anyone. Eric there are many many many local smaller American Festivals that you may enjoy. Just have fun wherever you are....

from 130-300am he played noise. one giant track of worthless noise. not much new stuff, certainly no classics. its was garbage.

Seriously , this is the biggest dance event in the whole World and Sensation has got so much spam from US people that they want sensation white to the US. And now, you get what you want and Sensation are making on of the biggest parties ever in Coachella, Miami etc. So please, be fucking grateful that you can experience this.

best album ive ever had, the variety shown by corsten throughout shows his great versatility and whatever mood you are in their is a track for you! although the tracks are all very differnt they are all bownd together which is the sign of a great album! a day without rain is track 1 on the album and that is the best intro ive ever heard! I would also recommend that you purchase the album off i tunes as it comes with an incredibly up lifting bonus track called sunday!

If he chooses another female, he should choose Claudia Cazaku. I wouldn't start her because she is electrifying and can use her skills in the middle of the show. She also has more experience than Fei-Fei with Trance music. I still like some of Skryllex's tracks and some of Andy Cs work. Even some of the original hip-hop DJs had sounds that can be use in Trance or Electo House.

Also, most of you are right that it wasn't appropriate for the show. Like all DJs, they need to read the crowd. I cannot put Tony DeVit in a merengue club or scottish pub. Some places, you can play electro house and Trance. Sander Van Doorn is known to use both genres.

I listen to all types of music, as long as it sounds great. It is true that this is a Trance event, but a person receiving death threats is not right. She played her style. Armin should have had in the contract to play only Trance music. Also, right now some DJs are combining Trance and Electro House into their routines. A DJ doesn't have to play only one genre. Not everyone in this world likes Trance. I know, I live in the South Bronx and definitely some people don't like hearing Trance. Some of the great DJs from all genres understand music and they learn from different genres. All you can do is have substance, not style. As long as each track is consistent and it doesn't just sound weird.

I didn't read any of the comments. I'm just putting in my 2 cents right now. Look, I use to love trance. Trance used to be everything that was on my iPod and everything I produced. When I turned 18, I started clubbing in NYC and D.C. The one thing that I loved about trance when I started was the great community. Everyone knew everyone and it was like a big family gathering. In recent years, that sense of community has gotten lost in the abyss. The hate has been louder than ever in recent weeks and I do not regret my decision in venturing other scenes such as dubstep, underground techno, and especially moombahton. That is where I find the strongest community nowadays.

This "incident" over the weekend has proven to me many things. For one, I, as well as many others, cannot stand to see the amount of disgraceful hate that the trance scene now associates itself with. It is appalling and uncalled for. No one realizes that the people are ruining the beauty of the scene now. It doesn't except everyone anymore, you have to listen to ONLY trance. As Correa put it, "one hint of wobble and the pitchforks come out". If you guys want your community to last, then stop being Nazis. I've been to techno shows, dubstep shows, electro shows, etc. etc. and the only scene I find the amount of grotesque hate is in trance now. Please understand, that no one wants to be a part of that. Everyone talks about PLUR, which I never was so crazy about, but at the end of day it's right. There is no "PLUR" in trance anymore. Where's the love? Where's the unity? And the respect? It's all gone down the shitter!!!!

As a producer, you need to understand that many of us have been in this to become MUSIC producers. Not just trance producers. When we beat the dead horse over and over, it was time to move on and explore new roads in EDM. For Fei Fei it was dubstep. Sure some of you ignorant fucks don't call dubstep music, but it's just as much music as trance is. ASOT booked her for HER sound, and she showcased HER sound to Beyond Wonderland. If you didn't like what you were hearing, all you had to do was turn it off. I saw soooo many posts of people acting like their world was ending. Really? Was it ending? Far from it dude. Many of the "haters" don't realize their say has absolutely nothing to do with who the ASOT staff picked. Maybe Armin did choose her to shake the scene up a little bit. Many of you whining bitches needed a slap in the face like that. And if you know anything about dubstep, moombahton, and drum & bass, her mixing and song selection was actually the result of a killer set. But most are too caught up in the fact that "it's not trance" to even realize that.

What I will close with is this. For those that are sticking up for Fei Fei whether you like dubstep or not, I applaud you all. She went into that with the mindset she was gonna do whatever the fuck she wants, and she did. Tough shit, she was given the opportunity to spin, NOT YOU. And for the record, Fei Fei has hauled ass the past several years getting here career to where it is today. She deserved that spot whether you like it or not. The rest of you sit behind your computer typing away with tissues, lotion, and a bag of Doritos sitting next to your keyboard. But for the love of god, know this: The result of Saturday just painted the most disgusting picture of the trance community. No one wants to be apart of that mess. Eventually the haters will fade out in the background, and the people who strive to do something different while rise to the top. She wasn't "jumping on the bandwagon", no one ever stops to think that maybe we actually enjoy the sound of dubstep. "Jumping on the bandwagon" is something that clueless college girls do when Dayglow comes to town and then take a bunch of molly because 'everyone is doing it'. Fei Fei genuinely loves what she spins and produces. I applaud her immensely for giving the middle finger to the standard and sticking out from the heap of shit.

People need to relax. She was booked to play an event based on what she would normally play, and I'm assuming this is what she normally plays.

It isn't "disrespect", it's not "a travesty" and for those blasting shit like they're some sort of compass to the hallowed ground that is 138BPM duggaduggaminorkeystringbreakdown "trance" music it's just getting silly at this point.

It's MUSIC. If you don't like it, flip the channel. Have a smile and a coke and for Christ's sake, PLEASE chill the fuck out. You'll be happier, I promise.

Absolutely agree with you Deb. I'm so glad to see reaction from someone about this travesty. What surprised me most is not that Fei-Fei was invited by AvB and played at ASOT 550, but that she played dubstep at a trance event. Fei-Fei is a talented producer with some decent trance tracks of her own which Armin played on his radio show, as a matter of fact. I'm attending ASOT 550 in Miami and I hope no one repeats what occurred in L.A. It doesn't matter if Skrillex or Datsik play at ASOT 550. As long as they play music that fits with the occasion.

Fei Fei should not played in the ASOT stage, she should played on Dubstep/Drum & Bass Stage.... I think the problem is Armin Ban Burren didn't pick the good artist for ASOT 550.... we heard other artist: Arty,Garth Emery ,ATB, Tom Fall, Fei Fei, Dash Berlin and more had been fail to sound trance at all...... there are a lot of trance artists Armin can choose : Arctic Moon, Ronny K, Manuel Le Saux, Ferry Tayle, Abstract Vision & Elite Electric, Indecent Noise, Bryan Kearney, Fady & Mina, Pedro Del Mar, Sneijder and More........ I blame on Armin, by not support the REAL TRANCE Artists... only for ARMADA Artists
